All i can say that nexus was working on my window vista base system (which blows and can't be helped except for a downgrade) until this new update.  I re-enstalled the program to update the service, and now it will not open the program.  Unstalled, re-enstalled and restarted with the toolbar update and still asks to install the damn toolbar and still will not open.  This is one of the best radio programs i've ever used since netscape radio.  I can't bash a great player, but i hope this is a test phase on the developers part because this is not working at all.  Altleast on my end, and I can't say the same for anyone else using a different OS.  I woks on my XP systems but not my vista systems.  VISTA came lick my left one and make my right one ask if it can be allowed.  I'm sure it's tough as hell to make a update for a vista pc compare to a xp, but i hope one day this will be resolved.  I love this player, and i hope i will not have to abandon this great player.  Well atleast on this vista pc.

Did you check to see if the toolbar is installed?

toolbar was perfectly installed and i was able to remove it alright, but as soon as the player was ready to start it would tell me Could not start nexus radio, must shutdown. Only unstalled the search bar until i was sure nexus would work.

 txs for the quick reply.

After uninstalling the old program I installed the new download you issued me.  After the login screen popped up, i loged in and nexus radio started up ok.  I exited the program and attemped to open it again, and a window popped up telling Can't start nexus radio, must shut down.  I restarted my pc and waited for windows to start.  When it started a DOS window came up and said "fetal error starting nexus radio, and then the standerd window popped up telling me Can't start nexus radio, must shut again.  The problem wasn't resolved and it's doing the same thing as it did before, but it isn't asking for the toolbar to be installed a second time so that is working.  Hope to hear a reply and txs again to the feedback.

Download the debug version of Nexus Radio: Download Here

Place debug.exe in your Nexus Radio directory: C:\Program Files\Nexus Radio\

Run debug.exe and let us now what happens.

Note: debug.exe is a stripped down version of Nexus Radio without the skins. We would like to know if debug.exe runs on your system.

Hello,

Download debug2.exe and place it in the same folder: Download Here

It will create a file ex.err. Open ex.err with notepad and place the results here.

Nothing happened.  After executing the program in the c:/programs/nexusradio... debug2 the dos window opened and I pressed the enter key when it asked to.  When i hit the enter button, the window closed and I couldn't see the ex.err file anywhere.  I ran a search and i didn't find it, so i couldn't open it in notepad.  I made sure both debug's was in that folder.  I not sure I'm missing anything.  Installed the new update... installed the toolbar... placed both debug's in the forlder and opened debug 2 so ex.err could be created and be opened in notepad but was nowhere in sight.

You asked the previous poster to give you the contents of the Ex.Err log.  Since I'm having a similar problem, NexusRadio won't start - It shows up in the Process Window of Vista's Task Manager, but it doesn't start.  Here are the contents of the log file I got on installation: Let me know what this means and how I can fix it. Thanks
