 Hey Chris

You deleted my (very appropriate and polite)

forum comment within half an hour of entry.

The comment is gone, but the evidence it

was there is in the time/date code for the

topic header. [Latest post: 23Mar08 1856h]

How inappropriate and unpolite! Why have a

forum if you delete comments without reply?

Dave,

Chris did not delete your post I did. There is another topic on the same subject and your post did not add anything new to the discussion. In the future we might change our policy regarding the toolbar, but until further notice it will required.

 Actually 'staff' --

I looked carefully all over the forum,

and didn't find another post on the

toolbar. That's why I posted.

My comment stands: the toolbar

is obstructive and unnecessary.

If I can't deactivate it, I'm gone.

Good luck.  Dave

I didn't delete your post but this topic was brought up in another thread. We do not force people to install or use Nexus Radio, and the toolbar is how we monetize this expensive service. If you are unhappy with Nexus Radio then I would suggest uninstalling it and download one of the other free internet radio applications available online.

Why hasn't a link to the topic in the other thread listed here?  I know I've looked for it, can't find it, so I've wasted even more time now.

I will be looking for a replacement for  Nexus Radio.

With the last update, I noticed that I was forced to install the toolbar.  Fine - I can hide that.

Today, I was forced to update a new version (when the old one worked just fine), then not only was I forced to install some "Egisca" toolbar, NexusRadio would like to know why I uninstalled the original.

And to top it all off, I spent TIME - being required  to do all this, before I could turn on the radio and begin work, and that makes me angry.

Also, as a security specialist, I find this behavior somewhat suspicious.  If a client described these actions to me, I would recommend a comprehensive sweep, and ridding the system of anything Nexus / Egisca related.

Egisca is the name of our company and Nexus Radio is one of our services. We decided to change the name and look of our toolbar because we want to offer our users more options and features. To do this we had to uninstall the previous toolbar. We are expanding the Egisca and Nexus Radio brand and this is the first step.

LoL….some people just complain for no damn reason. I rather deal with these minor requirements than have to pay a onetime fee or worse yet a monthly fee. No one is forcing you to use the damn product so why waste your time posting about how “upset” you are. It took me less than 5 minutes to update my copy of Nexus and I had no problems. I hate when people complain about free services, especially when it’s a decent free service. Just uninstall the damn thing and use something else. Go give iTunes 99 cents per download or go buy one of those other radio products for $39.00.

"No damned reason"?

I think I cited my reasons quite plainly.

1.  A claim was made that a comment was deleted because one of the same type appears elsewhere.   Where is it?  And, before you telling me to "go look" - it's good business sense (and I assume the answerer represents NexusRadio) to provide a link when the burden of proof is on the representative making the claim.

2.  When a program breaks and forces you to download a completely new app with a different interface (in this case, the toolbar is what I'm talking about) - that's suspicious behavior.  I as a user should not have to take time from my workday to investigate NexusRadio's relationship with Egisca.

It seems that your reply has added nothing to this line of conversation, and should therefore be deleted.  What do you think?

What I said in my first post (among other things)

is that clearly you're looking for a business plan

that pays the bills. And that everybody wants

to be paid for their valuable work.

'Staff' deleted that comment immediately.

What you failed to do is explain what the toolbar

is doing--and why. Maybe it's obvious: you're

trying to get paid by the click for pass-through

search activities.

Users should expect full disclosure. And the line

about the 'toolbar being required for proper

operation' is an untruth.

Lots of luck, Dave

I would like to give my thanks to Chris and the rest of the Nexus Radio team for an amazing service. KissI read the responses of the people complaining and it doesn’t surprise me they are all American.Yell What is with you ungrateful Americans and your constant complaining? Why do you arrogant Americans always feel someone owes you an explanation? It is their choice on how they choose to monetize the site, and if we as users do not like it then it is our choice to not use it. If I was them I would change the policy and charge a monthly fee.Money mouth
