I've installed Nexus Radio v.2.2.4 in my Windows XP Home Edition computer.  There is an update software message when I turn on the Nexus Radio.  But I receive an error message (#1316), as the old software fails to get uninstalled with the following message:

" A netwrok error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\Nexus Radio.msi"

Is there anybody out there to help me uninstall the old version and install the newer one?  Thanks!

This message usually means a previous installation of a software is getting in the way of the new installation. The fix is to download a free program from Microsoft that will totally and completely remove the old software. Then the new version can load unimpeded.

1. Download: Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Hope this helps!

Or you can just try going to your Control Panel, select Install/Uninstall Programs. Select Nexus, then uninstall the old version. Then try reinstalling the newest version of Nexus.

If this doesn't remove the old version, try performing an uninstall from Safe Mode. Then restart Windows and install the new version.

This error occurs because you are trying to either upgrade or uninstall Nexus Radio while the Nexus Radio Player is running in your system tray. First, make sure you completely close out Nexus Radio before trying to upgrade or uninstall Nexus Radio.
